What's in our water supply... Chlorine & Chloramines

Water utilities use chlorine, chloramines or both in water distribution. Many whole house water filters do not remove chloramines. Our Lifeguard Water Filter does along with chlorine to a leading 97% +.
It's true disinfection in water supply is needed. Without it bacteria grows. But with these needed disinfection chemicals, are slower long term illnesses happening?

      What are chloramines?

      • Chloramines are disinfectants in public water.
      • Chloramines are most commonly formed when ammonia is added to chlorine to treat drinking water.
      • To protect water quality as it moves through pipes.
      • Chloramines do not break down quickly.

      From the U.S. EPA

"Chemical exposure through drinking water can lead to short and long-term health effects. Exposure to lower doses over long periods of time can lead to chronic, longer-term conditions such as cancer. The effects of some drinking water contaminants are not yet well understood." -U.S. EPA

Protect your health, your family and home.

      • Healthier bathing, breathing, softer hair & skin, wonderful drinks and more.
